Studying the Subjective and Objective Experience of Wearable Technologies Used in the Operating Room to Improve Efficiencies and Safety
A wearable technology (WT) device will be provided (borrowed) to the surgeons for the duration of the study. The selected WT device will be non-obtrusive and wearable and have sufficient battery lifetime to support a long logging. Data will be collected from surgeons in the operating room. The WT device will help the surgeon to improve efficiencies in the operating room and enhance patient safety by, for example supporting the surgeons/physicians with check-list. WT device will record its usage - all user's interaction and inputs, to be later correlated with the user's experience.
